"I don't want the BBC leaning toward one side or the other, My only wish is for it neutral, impartial and just," he states.
When asked if he believes the British Broadcasting Corporation is systematically partial, the adviser answers: "No, I do not. Let's be clear, numerous aspects the BBC does is top-tier - encompassing informative and fictional programming."

A further former external BBC consultant questioned by the committee, Caroline Daniel, states she takes the BBC very seriously and that it operates a "persistent practice and vigorous discourse" on fluid and multifaceted issues.
"Whether the BBC was ready to conduct a thorough conversation and argument and take action?" she asks herself. "In my view, yes they were."
