This young athlete maintains impressive social media audience
The young golfer can count on numerous well-known supporters when she starts her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to compete at the Annika competition in Florida.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, operates several international courses and often plays against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we have tight competitions," she mentioned.
She mentioned that Trump, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."
"He practically suggested to play and enjoy myself," she continued.
"To me, he's just an ordinary family member. He won't be there for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has played in only three events recently and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
Yet she's able to get advice from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He is the greatest golfer globally," Kai stated.
"And he's a more impressive human being. He advised me to play, enjoy myself, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge several top competitors in professional golf at the competition, including second-ranked the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that Kai's presence exposes golf to wider groups, especially with younger fans.
The young star maintains a massive following and recently launched her own apparel and wellness brand.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
