The Opening Game Pass Additions of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
Everywhere you go, enthusiasts continue to ring the funeral bells for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a platform few have heard of. Xbox fan sites began covering regarding Sony's platform as a new development. 2025 was a period of total upheaval for Xbox and Microsoft. But if we're going solely off what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it's evident that the green gaming company continues to plan to engage players with strong games on its premier subscription.
The Immediate Additions
The duo of games that are immediately available today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's truly noteworthy.
Upcoming Headline Games
Starting January 13th, Game Pass will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that deviates from typical Ubisoft design with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "the perfect cocktail of terror and combat."
Noteworthy Smaller Games
However, the more modest titles set to join the catalog deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that's a blast to play, arrives January 7th — and it's worth experiencing regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year might get its hooks in you within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by Rebellion Developments, is also a game to check out. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.
A Solid, Curated Lineup
Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they don't represent tentpole Microsoft studios games that are the sole reason for the service alone. Yet, this selection are very dependable. There's a good mixture of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that didn't get the attention they warranted upon launch — rendering them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.
Be prepared to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
